PHPSESSID (session) — duration: browser session. purpose: keep the session and protect actions (CSRF) and temporary permissions.
maki_lang (language preference) — duration: up to 180 days. purpose: remember the selected language. HttpOnly: no.
maki_age_ok (18+) — duration: up to 180 days. purpose: remember that the user passed the 18+ gate. HttpOnly: yes.
maki_master (owner only) — duration: up to 30 days. purpose: enable the owner’s master mode. HttpOnly: yes.
maki_uid (anonymous UID) — duration: up to 2 years. purpose: enable private messages (DM) and strengthen anti‑abuse measures without creating accounts. HttpOnly: yes.

We may also use local browser storage (localStorage) to remember UI preferences (e.g., chat state) without sharing that information with third parties.

Note: on older browsers you may see previous cookie names (chatpic_lang, chatpic_master). They are migrated automatically.
